Sanitas

Sanitas is a Latin word that means 'health' or 'sanity'. It comes from the root word sanus, which means 'healthy' or 'sane'. Sanatorium and sanitarium are two words that are very close in spelling and pronunciation. The words conjure images of mental institutions and other medical establishments. Let's not get into semantics or semiotics. It's boring.

This is a futuristic health centre, which uses advanced (possibly alien) technology. People come here to rest and recover from injury, trauma, illness, or stress. Treatments include hydrotherapy, cryotherapy, light therapy, ECT and also heat and steam treatments. Surgical procedures and various enhancements are carried out where required.
